Panel Contribution at Utafiti Sera Inter-House Learning Convening

At the recently concluded Utafiti Sera Inter-House Learning Convening, Professor Fatai A. Aremu, Executive Director of Research Enterprise Systems (RES), participated as a panelist in the Expert Session on Policy Evidence Production and Consumption Culture in Africa.

The session provided a platform for in-depth dialogue on bridging the persistent gap between research outputs and policy actions across the continent. Discussions centered on fostering a governance culture where credible data and evidence inform policymaking, enhance accountability, and address Africa’s key development challenges.

In his contribution, Professor Aremu emphasized the urgent need to strengthen Africa’s evidence ecosystem, ensuring that research is not only produced but also effectively consumed by policymakers to drive impactful change.

Research Enterprise Systems (RES) remains committed to advancing policy innovation by connecting researchers, policymakers, and practitioners to co-create evidence-driven solutions that move Africa forward.
