Capacity Building Workshop for Staff of the Directorate of Legislative Budget and Planning
As part of Research Enterprise Systems’ (RES) ongoing partnership with the Directorate of Legislative Budget and Planning, National Assembly, a two-day capacity-building workshop was conducted for the Directorate’s staff.
The workshop, themed “Building Technical Competencies for Innovative Support Services in the National Assembly,” was designed to enhance the Directorate’s capacity in legislative budgeting and evidence-informed policy processes.
Participants were taken through key modules, including:
Understanding Policy Research in the Legislature
Articulating Clear and Compelling Research Questions
Framing Causal Research Questions
These sessions were aimed at strengthening analytical and policy advisory functions within the National Assembly and promoting a culture of data-driven legislative governance.
