RES and Science for Africa Foundation Hold High-Level Policy Roundtable on AI Integration in Healthcare

Research Enterprise Systems (RES), in collaboration with the Science for Africa Foundation (SFA), Kenya, hosted a high-level policy roundtable on artificial intelligence (AI) in healthcare delivery. The roundtable aimed to serve as a vital platform for informing policy development, integrating AI initiatives into national frameworks, and fostering capacity-building within Nigeria’s health sector.

Participants discussed the findings of the SFA Foundation report on AI in healthcare, exploring opportunities and challenges in adopting AI tools to strengthen healthcare delivery. The discussions also focused on Nigeria’s need to incorporate AI policy into its national frameworks in alignment with the African Union’s STISA 2063 strategy and the AUDA-NEPAD AI roadmap.

The roundtable underscores RES’s commitment to supporting evidence-driven policy dialogues on emerging technologies, advancing health systems strengthening and sustainable development across Africa.
