“Your background shouldn’t stop you from becoming a success story.” These powerful words from the Executive Director of Research Enterprise Systems (RES), Professor Fatai A. Aremu, set the tone as RES concluded its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities to mark its 10th anniversary at Government Secondary School, Jabi.
Professor Aremu engaged the senior students in an interactive session, sharing his personal journey from humble beginnings to a distinguished career in academia and development practice. He highlighted the challenges he faced, the determination that shaped his path, and how these experiences contributed to the founding vision of RES — an organization now recognized for excellence in research, policy advisory, and capacity development across Nigeria and the African continent.
As part of the CSR outreach, RES donated essential learning materials aimed at improving the students’ academic experience. The initiative reflects the organization’s belief that investing in education is central to securing Africa’s future. RES emphasized that these young learners represent the next generation of researchers, policymakers, innovators, and leaders.
